MAT breaks down England's Rare Diseases Action Plan 2022

BIG NEWS: Recent years have seen an increasing global interest in rare diseases and how best to meet the needs of patients. Today, on Rare Disease Day, the UK Department of Health and Social Care has published the first of a two-part action plan to address health inequalities and improve the lives of people living with rare diseases in England.

In January 2021, the UK Rare Diseases Framework prioritized four target areas for rare diseases in the UK over the next five years, with each UK nation developing an associated action plan to address these priorities.
